Chill Out

It has been in the 90s here, and I feel like I'm melting. This Cava Sangria looks like it could help.  The recipe is from Cafe de L'Opera in Barcelona, seen here on bonappetit.com.

Cava Sangria

Ingredients

  • 1 orange, preferably blood or Cara Cara, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier or other orange liqueur
  • 1 teaspoon rose water
  • 1 750-ml bottle chilled brut cava

Preparation

  • Using a muddler or the handle of a wooden spoon, mash first 3 ingredients in a large pitcher. Add cava; stir gently to combine.
  • Fill wineglasses with ice. Divide sangria among glasses.

    Cheers!
