Biscotti Di Prato

In my experience, fresh food is normally the best food.  This seems to apply to almost every food.  Recently, I had a fresh baked chocolate scone that was so perfect that I was forced to question all prior scone purchases.  A couple of days ago, I stumbled on the show Extra Virgin with Debi Mazar and Gabriele Corcos. Gabriele shared his recipe for Biscotti Di Prato.  Since I had never had fresh, homemade biscotti, I figured I better give them a shot.  The recipe was easy to execute, and most of the ingredients are pantry stocked items.  As for the resulting biscotti: they are fantastic.  For the recipe: go here.  

*I substituted 1 tsp baking soda and 1 tsp vanilla extract for the Lievito Pane degu Angeli, but if you aren't as impatient as me, you can purchase the proper ingredient on Amazon.
