Winter IPA

I went to Total Wine for the first time last weekend.  I don't think I am a fan.  It doesn't seem right to take a luxury item, such as wine, and create a store that feels like a discount warehouse.  Of course, that didn't stop me from leaving with a few bottles.  I also nabbed some beer before checking out.  This Newcastle Winter IPA caught my eye.

My husband's favorite beer is Newcastle Brown Ale, so I figured we should give the IPA a try.  The bottle design is striking. As for the flavor here is the official description from Newcastle:

"Zesty in character and jam-packed with a creamy finish, the Newcastle Winter IPA is full-bodied and hoppy, delivering unique and authentic malt flavors for the cold season and snowy matchdays."

Since I don't have "matchdays", I recommend this beer for holiday parties or quiet winter nights at home.  Cheers!
