Washington, D.C. Gifts, Stylishly

When you have recently moved to a new place you have to fight the urge to send your family gifts that carry the theme of your new city. No matter how much
your family loves you they do not want a giant
cardboard cutout of Barack Obama. Also, unless they have specifically requested one of those "FBI" tee shirts please do not send one of those either.

Don't worry, I haven't presented a problem without delivering a stylish solution. If you want to send a piece of your new home to your loved ones, and you would like to send them something that they will actually want to keep, checkout I am impressed by the broad range of gifts that are offered on their site. You can easily sort by kind of gift or price. If you are shopping for a space enthusiast or someone who would like to have a hanging rack for herbs from their garden you can find a great gift. Anyone who has visited Washing, D.C. has probably made a stop in one of the Smithsonian museums. This is a great way to share a piece of your life, and whatever you pick from the Smithsonian is guaranteed to be significantly more desirable than an "I DC" hoodie.

p.s. The votive pictured is from the Smithsonian Store. Tres chic!
