Three Resolutions

Only two more days in 2010!

You will be busy partying tomorrow night, so now is the time to think about your resolutions for 2011.  I do not always make them, but this year I am going to make 3.

#1 Go Meat Free on Mondays.
I have already been doing this, but I would like to commit to doing this for the entire year (without cheating).

#2 Try a new restaurant every month.
It is so easy to get into the habit of dining at the same handful of restaurants.  Of course I have my favorite spots, but I certainly don't want my taste buds to get bored.  I will make sure to share my new finds with you!

#3 Read (at least) one book every month.
I am a master at skimming through books and gathering the general gist.  This year I will actually read 12 of them to the end.

Any suggestions for my first book?

What is your New Year's Resolution?

***If you haven't already resolved to go to the gym, please feel free to copy mine.

  1. I wish you a great 2011. My suggestion: read any book of Mario Vargas Llosa, Nobel Prize of Literature. I will follow your second suggestion, I will try a new restaurant every month. And of course, I have to eat more healthy food.

  4. I definitely want to try to do #2 also! I'm so bad about reading/finishing books too.. I think I would fail miserably at #3, but might try..haha

Glad you found my blog because now I found yours! :)

  5. Great inspiring resolutions!

Well if you want to read one of the best written and told stories and haven't read it yet I suggest "Memoirs Of a Geisha".

If you want something current Steve Martin's new book "An Object Of Beauty: A Novel"

And if you like crime mysteries discover Louise Penny's Chief Inspector Gamache books. She has written six so far and the latest to great critical and well deversed acclaim plus landed on all the major best sellers list.

Can't wait to hear what books you discover:)

    Ciao Ciao Bella Donna

  6. I like these resolutions. I try to check out a new restaraunt every once in a while and love the reading a new book every month. These sound very productive.

  7. a book a month, that's a good one!

  8. Thank you for your comments and suggestions! I just ordered "An Object of Beauty: A Novel" by Steve Martin, per Frozen Fashions suggestion. It will delivered between Jan 15 and Jan 25. Hopefully it will be towards the beginning because I'm a slow reader.

  9. Great resolutions :)
One of mine is to take more photos and get every single one printed. I guess it'll cost a lot but you need memories right?

  10. As an English graduate student, I would be remiss if I didn't congratulate you on your resolution to read one book a month. :)

  11. I love you resolutions! I'll definitely have to try to read more.
