Good Hair Day

My hair needed some attention. I was scared to try somewhere new. I didn't want to go somewhere that everyone at work uses because I am private. Grooming is not a group ritual in my mind. The more discreet the better. So, I did what any modern person would do...I googled "Best Hair Salon D.C."

After my research I made an appointment at Ted Gibson (I went to the one on Wisconsin Ave, there is also one in Georgetown and NYC). I figured that if Ted Gibson is good enough for the likes of Anne Hathaway and Angelina Jolie I could give his salon a whirl.

I couldn't be more pleased with the location. It is perfectly tucked away above Jimmy Choo and Tiffany & Co. like a little hair heaven. The salon is connected to a spa (I think it is also owned by T.G.). I enjoyed both the female who did my color and the male who did my cut. In addition to them Ted Gibson happened to be there! He was walking around talking with guest and stylists. He has beautiful skin in person, almost velvety. The best endorsement I could ever give a business is to return, and that I will do.

One (small) disclaimer: Book an appointment in the evening if you can (I did). I get the feeling that if you go during a busy time it may be a bit less spa-like.
